What is PRP Facial?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) facial — sometimes called a 'vampire facial' — involves drawing a small amount of your blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, then applying or injecting the PRP into the skin. Platelets contain growth factors that stimulate collagen production, cell renewal, and tissue repair. PRP is often combined with microneedling to enhance penetration and results. It addresses fine lines, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and overall skin rejuvenation using your body's own healing biology.

Recovery & Aftercare

Redness and mild swelling for 24–72 hours (more if combined with microneedling). Mild bruising may occur at injection sites. Avoid washing your face for 6 hours post-treatment. Skip makeup, active skincare, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleanser and SPF. Results develop over 3–4 weeks as collagen remodeling occurs. Most patients need 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Risks & Side Effects

Since PRP uses your own blood, allergic reactions are extremely rare. Risks include bruising at the blood draw site, infection (if sterile technique is not followed), and temporary swelling. Not suitable for patients with blood disorders, active infections, or those on blood thinners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the PRP facial really work?

Yes, clinical studies show PRP increases collagen production and improves skin texture, tone, and elasticity. Results are gradual and build over 3–6 months with a series of treatments. It works best as part of a comprehensive skincare plan.

How is PRP different from a regular facial?

Traditional facials clean and hydrate the skin surface. PRP stimulates deep collagen remodeling using your body's own growth factors. The results are more significant and longer-lasting than a standard facial.
